OUR NEEDS
FEES
We charge little fee of R350 per month for the parents to pay so that we can keep the centre running and be able to pay staff members. With that amount we still need to feed children with 3 healthy meals including snacks of fruits, pay electricity, pay staff etc. Not all the children are able to pay school fees due to the family backgrounds and we don’t discriminate them. We have now 15 children not paying school fees and others pay only when they are able to pay due to their poor family backgrounds.
Short-Term Needs

We need furniture in a form of tables and chairs for the children in the classrooms

Fridge to keep the food fresh and cool at all times

Number/ Letter puzzles Floor carpets as the tiles are cold during winter, and while laying the carpets, children will be learning letters of alphabets or numbers

Big water storage like jojo tank, to store water as we often go for days without water in the area of Diepsloot

Stationeries like story books, Koki pens, crayons etc.
Long-Term Needs

We need a bigger land space in order to accommodate more children and to provide more adequate learning resources.

School transport to ferry children from different sections of PROTEA GLEN
